About Bowen Holiday Park

Bowen Holiday Park, formerly Bowen Village Caravan & Tourist Park, is a member of the DISCOVERY/TOP PARKS Group which has member parks right across Australia.
The park was built in the late 70’s in response to increased accommodation needs during the construction of the original Abbot Point coal loading facility, 23 kilometres north of Bowen.
Bowen Holiday Park is nestled amongst palms and sub-tropical gardens, our park is the perfect spot for your next holiday, a weekend away or an overnight camp. We have accommodation to suit camping and caravaners as well as self-contained cabins. Set on around 30 acres, our spacious, grassy sites ensure you have plenty of room to unwind and relax in the perfect tropical climate.
Just a five minute drive to the centre of Bowen, our park is the perfect base to explore all that Bowen and its surrounds has to offer. With pristine beaches, coral reefs you can walk out to and amazing fishing, your trip to Bowen can be as busy or relaxing as you like. Our Location
Bowen Holiday Park is ideally located 5km south of the Bowen town centre on the Bruce Highway. The park is only a short 10 minute drive to the many amazing pristine beaches Bowen has for you to explore. You will also find an abundance of fresh, seasonal fruit and vegetables for sale at farm gates close by. Mangoes by the bucket, fresh, juicy melons, vine ripened tomatoes… they don’t call Bowen the salad bowl of the north without good reason.
Don’t miss your photo opportunity with the famous ‘Big Mango’, located less than 3km from our park and right next door to the Bowen tourist information centre. Nearby towns include energetic Airlie Beach which is approx. 75km south and is the gateway to the picturesque Whitsunday islands. The larger centres of Townsville and Mackay are located approximately 200km north and south of Bowen.
